Cracking down on Distracted Driving.

As of today there are 19 states that prohibit the practice of text messaging while driving and there are currently 23 more states in the process of passing similar legislation. This is a sign that other states are starting to keep up with the neighbors so to speak.

Again I think that this is a move in the right direction to have safer operations on the highway. We should not have to worry about being slammed by someone who was distracted because if text messaging. The more I think about it, the more I realize how ignorant this practice really is. I mean let's face it, how dumb can people really get? Texting while driving?? It's moronic to say the least and I am being nice about it.

Oh, and Senator Charles Schumer of New York has introduced federal legislation to ban all texting and/or emailing while driving. And for the states that do not take part in this will risk losing up to 25% of their federal highway funding! Way to go senator.
